Morris has operated a public accounting practice in the Burleigh Heads area since 1984. Prior to that date he worked in commerce and was the Group Financial Accountant for a large public company at its Melbourne head office and later moved to the Gold Coast where he was accountant and company secretary for Queensland’s largest cabinetmaker.
Since 1984 he has operated in a number of accounting partnerships. On 1 November 2000 he, along with Julie Dowd and Wendy Uttley, acquired new premises at Suite 5, 12 Classic Way, Burleigh Waters, which was recently extended to accommodate additional staff and facilities.
During this period he has experienced many changes to accounting standards and taxation legislation, including the introduction of fringe benefits tax, self-assessment, capital gains tax and GST.
Morris offers over 40 years of accounting and business experience in both commerce and public practice and specialises in small business accounting, taxation and self-managed superannuation. He has developed an extensive network of specialist professional contacts that assist his clients as and when required.
